Types of Vinyl:
Sheet Vinyl – Sheet vinyl is sold by the square yard or square foot. Sheet vinyl is manufactured in 12 foot or 6 foot widths and is sold in one piece. The vinyl is rolled out in the room then adhered to the subfloor.
There are two different constructions of sheet vinyl: inlaid vinyl and printed vinyl with a durable protective coating or wear layer.
Inlaid vinyl's color pattern goes all the way through the sheet vinyl. It is by far the more durable of the two choices.
Printed vinyl is usually less expensive and though offered in many top qualities, will usually fall short of the durability found in an inlaid product
Vinyl Tile or Plank – Vinyl tile and plank are sold by the square foot. Each individual square (tile) or strip (plank) is installed individually. Vinyl tile and plank offer flexible and easy installation with low costs and excellent maintainability. Interpretive patterns and colors look stunning in full field installations and extraordinary in cross-product and multiple color combinations. Design options are unlimited with vinyl tile and plank patterns and colorations.
Linoleum – Linoleum is made with pure, natural materials which make linoleum environmentally preferred flooring. Available in numerous colors, this product is conducive to custom designs.
Quality of installation is as important as the product chosen to insure the desired look, proper performance, and longevity of your chosen floor covering.
