In 1949, Dalene Flooring was established. It was a dream of Arne H. Dalene and he enlisted his father Herman Dalene, to help make Dalene Hardwood Flooring a reality. In it’s infancy, they specialized in hardwood floor installation as well as sanding and refinishing wood floors.
In those days, many Norwegians came to work for Dalene Flooring, staying in the Dalene home. It was a very humble beginning full of family and friends working together to create a unique flooring experience for their customers.
Today, under the leadership of Arne’s son, Steven Dalene, we have expanded our offerings to include all types of flooring, full service installation, and Hunter Douglas Window Coverings. We also added floor design showrooms throughout the years in South Windsor, West Hartford, Manchester, Southington, Torrington and Enfield. Our robust team provides services to residential, builder and commercial customers with six locations in Connecticut.
